I'm Joe Ballou, and I've been doing this for a long time.

I started tutoring in high school, was a teaching assistant in undergrad, and I've been either leading or teaching ever since.

That's 25+ years working with groups to help them learn, grow, and achieve their goals.

I've trained over 2,000 leaders at all different levels, from solopreneurs to C-level execs at billion dollar companies, school teachers to US Senators.

I've coached professionals through career and life transitions, business leaders through company transformations, and engaged citizens through social disruption.

I started the Basecamp in March 2025 because I saw that there was no community that supported leaders building impact portfolios across all three dimensions - self, organizations, and movements.
